"(vinified with 80% whole clusters): Medium red. Musky red fruit aromas are complicated by spice, crushed stone, leather, game and peppery nuances. Juicy, intense and youthfully imploded; the freshest and most tangy today of these 2013s, with a firm spine of acidity giving focus to the middle palate. Finishes focused and long, with substantial tannic mass and a superripe suggestion of maraschino cherry. Not a supple style of Clos Vougeot; this will take longer to approach its peak." (ST 11/14)
